Profile Information

About Me:
Originally from Chicago, I currently live in Brattleboro, Vermont I am the founder and senior consultant of Expanding Horizons International (EHI) a consulting group that works with individuals, groups and organizations to recognize their potential, realize their visions and achieve empowerment.

I have thirty years experience working with not-for-profit organizations, internationally and domestically, addressing the broad range of organizational issues in community development, human service, and educational sectors.

My interest in intercultural issues has lead me to work as a consultant, trainer, administrator and board member with various ethnic groups of refugees, international students and professionals as well as government, private and public organizational cultures in the for-profit and not-for profit sectors overseas and domestically. I have lived and worked in Ireland, the Philippines, Kenya and Liberia and Sri Lanka.

My experience has covered a broad range of sectors including working with refugee resettlement, international exchange, community development, higher education, career counseling, virtual teams and online training facilitation. Most recently I have been consulting and training organizations on use of appropriate Internet technology. I am an active volunteer board member of several local, state, national and international boards.

Most of my weekends are taken up watching my son competing in sports events.

Just visited your malibatours.com site. Very clean, crisp, appealing and professional. It would definitely attract me if I were looking for trip to that area of the world. I did notice one spelling error in "Specialty" Tours and the Contact Us isn't set up yet.
Stay in touch

Actually I am still in the area, living in Brattleboro. I'm still trying to do consulting. I'm in need of some part-time work as a trainer, mgmt consultant or project manager. If any opportunities temporary, Part-time or full time come your way please keep me in mind. Travel is not a problem for me.
Also meanwhile I am keeping my hand in the virtual technology world by conducting a survey on the use of virtual tools in peoples personal and professional lives. I'm trying to get as broad a respondent group as possible - ages, culturally, professionally - and have posted it among my social networks including the MCGC. I'd appreciate if you could take the time to respond to the survey and also pass the link on to others you know.

Other than that I've been full-time sports roadie for my son who is dedicated to hockey and baseball.
I'd be interested in hearing more about your tours business too.
take care

Hey Peter,
long time no see. I take it you are no longer in the area? I am now working for the Massachusetts Career Development Institute, Inc. as a Program Director. I design and implement youth programs for the W. Mass. Other than that I am started my own tour company visit www.malibatours.com for more info on that.

Are you still consulting?

Peter,

Nice meeting you at the grad center dinner. If I come across any organizations that could use your help, I'll mention your name. If you happen across any publications that need strategic, marketing or online publishing help, perhaps you'd do the same.
