Is anyone moderating this community or is it a typical gradcenter project which has been thrown up there and abandoned. Don't appreciate being spammed!!!!! Wake someone up!
Likewise here Mark. Is there anybody moderating this site at all? I went in and blocked "Baby" but can't say that will fix it. Looks like it got all of the Male's of the group.
I just set my account up so that I moderate any comments addressed to me. I'm too old and practiced not to look after my own security.
I stopped depending on the kindness of strangers several decades ago and shortly after stopped complaining about the quality of the kindness of strangers. I mean this in the kindest of ways....;)
Thank you one and all. I guess part of my frustration was not knowing who to contact. I was fooled, of course, because that is a rather handsome photo of me. Naturally, I was convinced right away. (put your own smilies here)
OK, this explains why when I just checked my comment from "Baby" there was nothing there!
BTW, I ran into a MCGC alumni from around 2000 last night. Darren Spafford is an art teacher in Rutland, VT and a MSIE grad. We both attended a meeting last night about the Chaffee Arts Center. I audited a web design course taught by Darren at CCV in Fall 2007 and it was very helpful to me. I told him about the NING site, and I will send him a link shortly. Take are.
Thanks for the note. Kathy Urffer and I are both Administrators so can do things like ban spammers. At the moment, we want to keep the site open so that there are no barriers to alumni who want to join, but if problems continue, we will implement an authorization process.
In case of future troubles, you can call us at the Grad School, or email to lsieverts or kurffer @marlboro.edu
If you all have other ideas on how to protect the site, don't hesitate to contact us.
Thanks, Lisa. I don't use this site that often but I really like it. I also realize that it exists and is maintained by the generosity of people like yourself and Kathy. I thank you both for taking the time to keep it up and running for the benefit of all in the community. I guess I have a sentimental feeling for this site, since I created the first Alumni site as my Capstone in 2006. This site is a much better idea.
