I'm considering teaching a course about the Internet & society: Living in a Digital Democracy (how the Internet is being used to change voting behavior, stimulate the growth of a flobal economy, and alter our sense of community.) I'm just begining to review books that might be appropriate for this course. I was wondering if any of you have any recommendations for books that might be appropriate?
Lowell Feld and Nate Wilcox, Netroots Rising. 2008. Praeger. --I've only just acquired this, but it looks like it might be a possibility. Focused on the intervention of the blogging world in the official political process. Not textbook-ish at all.
