I need some assistance....
Hi all:
I have just formed a Non-Profit corporation (Connecticut Behavioral Outreach, Inc.) which will serve mentally ill clients between the ages of 17 and 65. The primary mission of this organization is the following:
"The mission of Connecticut Behavioral Outreach, Inc., is to provide outreach, advocacy, and coordination of benefits for individuals who have a serious mental illness residing in Connecticut. To date, CTBO has identified a profound gap in the services provided by current communities of care. Although The Social Security Administration, Department of Social Services, CT Homeless Shelters, and Behavioral Health Facilities provide many resources to the mentally ill, CTBO will close the gap on providing proactive outreach and advocacy, because mental illness often prohibits cognition that does not allow the individual to self-advocate in this capacity.
In addition, due to chronic understaffing and underfunding of current communities of care to be able to perform this type of advocacy when needed, CTBO would also fill that gap, allowing those agencies to concentrate more fully on addressing the day to day and emergency mental health needs of the client.
CTBO will serve a specific population based on age of the client. The age range will be from 17 (to proactively prepare the client for transition into the adult mental health system in Connecticut), to the age of 65 (when clients will be preparing to transition into mental health services for the elderly)."
I am attempting, in my own feeble way, to build an interactive Web presence using Joomla and many other tools. I need help with this, since I am not at all well-versed in Joomla. If you are interested in supporting a good cause, please contact me, and I will assure you that your name will be displayed prominently for credit!
I also need help with the following:
1. Projections for the next 3 years.
2. Finalizing the business plan for submission to IRS and others.
3. Help with filling out the 501(c)(3) application that goes to the IRS.
Please let me know if you are willing to help in any of the above-mentioned capacities. Although I have no funding yet, I will find some creative way to make it worth your while! I will also need a WebMaster/Mistress in the very near future -- location will not be an issue! I would love to hire a MCGC student or grad who is passionate about this type of work.
