Event Description

Violinmaker Doug Cox shares personal experiences from his life as a business owner in the creative arts, and how valuing balance and personal health are in harmony with the economic health of a community. Since founding Cox Violins in 1981, Doug has built nearly 600 instruments in his Vermont studio. His instruments have received awards from the Violin Society of America and are used by professional artists in a wide array of settings. Doug has been involved with many local music organizations and is a founder of Alliance for the Arts, Brattleboro-West Arts, and the Whetstone Center for Art and Democracy.
